Question

What pressure drop can be expected through the Jet Heater?

Answer

Generally we design for a pressure drop of 0.5 bar. However depending upon the process conditions we can also design for higher or lower pressure drops. In operation the pressure drop is lower when steam is flowing because steam tends to boost the liquid pressure. The full design pressure drop is only experienced at small or zero steam flow.
