Frequently Asked Questions

Question

Can a Gas Ejector be used with a mechanical compressor?

Answer

a) Gas Ejectors can be used to boost the inlet pressure of an mechanical compressor, thereby reducing the volume and increasing the capacity of the existing            equipment.

b) Gas Ejectors can utilise mechanical compressor recycle gas to boost production of LP wells.

c) They can be used to increase capacity of an existing compressor train by allowing operation at alternative and more efficient interstage pressures.

c) In marginal well applications the discharge from a compressor can provide the motive pressure to drive a Gas Ejector.

The addition of a Gas Ejector to an existing compression facility is a far cheaper solution than modifying the compressors themselves.
